The NDRL’s ULMS and UEMS ‘Speedweek Tour’ Visit McKean County Raceway with ‘Incredible Weekly Show’

East Smethport, PA (July 17, 2013) The NDRL’s McKean County Raceway will kick off the ULMS and UEMS ‘Speedweek Tour’ this Thursday, July 18. The ULMS Late Models will be highlighted with a $3,000 to-win event while the UEMS EMods will compete for a cool $1,000.

Ripley, NY’s Mike Knight will lead the ULMS contingent into MCR with a solid 60 point lead over North East, PA’s Matt Urban. Russ King of Bristolville, OH, Dave Hess Jr. of Waterford, PA and Bear Lake, PA’s Boom Briggs round out the top five in the 2013 Championship point standings and will look to put a dent into Knight’s commanding lead.

Smethport’s own Steve Dixon has been on a rampage on the UEMS A&MP EMod series after claiming the last three UEMS events at MCR, Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway and Expo Speedway last weekend. Dixon has used those wins to build a 34 point lead over Randy Hall of Olean, NY. Also looking to put a stop to Dixon’s amazing streak is Carl McKinney of Mars, PA, Vic Vena of Portville, NY, and Conneaut, OH’s Joel Watson.

Max Blair of Centerville, PA continues to lead the weekly RUSH Late Model point standings after capturing his fifth victory last week. NY’s Chad Ruhlman only sits 25 point behind Blair despite not winning a feature event.

Brad Ullman and Andy Michael, both from Allegany, NY hope to carve into Adam Ashcroft’s Close Racing Supply Street Stock point lead this week as well as keep him out of victory lane as Ashcroft has captured six checkered flags this 2013 season. Ashcroft holds a 54 point lead over Ullman while Michael sits 67 points behind with his two wins.

Lantz Corners, PA’s Joe Boylan leads the mini-stock class into this week’s action ahead of Mitch Boylan, Eric Canfield, Larry Mitchell Jr. and Kurt Babcock while Cuba, NY’s Fred Ely has gone undefeated in the pure stock class since it was added to the program at the beginning of July.

The action all starts Thursday night, July 18 at 7:30pm with pit gates opening at 4:30pm and grandstand gates opening at 5:00pm. Grandstand admission is now just $12 ($10 senior citizen) and pit passes are now only $25, children 12 and under are free.
